Hosts Brazil eye victory in 2019 Copa America opener as they take on Bolivia

Brazil vs Bolivia
Brazil will play Bolivia on Friday in 2019 Copa America opener
Brazil and Bolivia will go head to head on Friday in 2019 Copa America opening game as both teams eye success. Brazil go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 9:30 PM (Local)

Venue : Cicero Pompeu de Toledo Stadium, Sao Paulo

Brazil after a string of two successive friendly wins over Qatar and Honduras respectively will now have their eyes set on the Copa America on their home soil as they take on Bolivia in the opening game.

The Selecao will be eager for success on the home soil as 2014 FIFA World Cup didn’t went to plan and they didn’t end up winning. So 2019 Copa America is a tournament which they will be itching to get their hands on and get the monkey off their back.

Though Bolivia will test them but not that much as Brazil should be able to extract the needful points. The group is simple as well as big teams are avoided although Peru and Venezuela will do their best to trouble the Brazilians.

On the other hand, Bolivia are not in good form at the moment as they lost recently to France in a friendly. But come the big tournament, it should lift their spirits up.

Brazil as opponents should be a daunting task but Bolivia are used to playing them in the World Cup qualifiers. So that experience should come in handy. They should look to absorb pressure and hit Brazil on counter. The next game against Peru will be lighter compared to this one.

Brazil have a pretty good record against Bolivia and they will look to continue the good work.

Team news and possible line-ups

Adrian Jusino is available for Bolivia for the Brazil game and will play.

As for The Selecao, Alisson Becker is available and will likely play.

Bolivia XI : Lampe, D. Bejarano, Haquin, Jusino, M. Bejarano, Castro, Galindo, Saavedra, Justiniano, Chumacero, Martins.

Brazil XI : Alisson, Alves, Marquinhos, Silva, Luis, Arthur, Fernandinho, Richarlison, Coutinho, Neres, G. Jesus.

Prediction

It will be a very one sided game and I expect Brazil to deliver a 4-0 thumping to Bolivia.
