Germany play Denmark at Brondby

Germany vs Denmark
Germany will play Denmark in an International Friendly
Germany and Denmark are set to go head to head in an International Friendly on Tuesday night at the Brondby Stadium. Joachim Low’s side are considered favourites in the tie as they focus on inching closer to next year’s world cup, with a match against San Marino later this week.

The Germans have been in some good form of late, winning five of their last six games. Most of the players have been playing some good football for their respective clubs.

Denmark seems to be the weaker of the two sides, with them just winning one of their last five matches. Their record against Germany is also not in their favour, with the visitors winning 2-1 in their last meeting at UEFA Euro 2012.

The Danish are going to travel to Kazakhstan later this week for their world cup qualifying match.

Teams and Tactics :-

Germany

Since being beaten last year at the Euro’s against France in the Semi’s, Germany are eyeing the world cup in Russia next year.

German defence have been strong, in particular. Die Mannschaft have conceded only one goal since Antoine Griezmann’s double at the Euro’s last July, and that goal came in the match against Azerbaijan.

Guys like Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller, Mats Hummels, Jerome Boateng & Mesut Ozil will be out due to injuries & in order to get some rest after their club commitments.

Sandro Wagner should start in place of Timo Werner as Werner sits out of the game.

So Joachim Low will need to adjust his squad for Tuesday night’s friendly as he is resting his key players.

Probable Line-up (4-3-3) : Ter Stegen, Hector, Kimmich, Mustafi, Rudiger, Demme, Goretzka, Can, Stindl, Brandt, Wagner.

Denmark

The Danes are behind in their chances to qualify for world cup next year. Denmark sit third in group E, level on points with Montenegro & six points behind leader Poland.

Recently, Denmark have beaten the USA & Iceland. Although this should give confidence, but the game against Germany will be tougher.

Denmark have quality players like Christian Eriksen, but they would be extra cautious. Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel will sit out & Ronnow is likely  to take his place.

The best chance for Denmark is on counters. However, since this is a friendly, all focus for Denmark would be on the Kazakhstan game.

Probable Line-up : Christensen, Ronnow, Vestergaard, Durmisi, Kjaer, Kvist, Schone, Delaney, Andersen, Eriksen, Poulsen.

Prediction

Germany should edge Denmark 2-0, considering both teams recent form.
