Crc vs Ger
In one of the final two games of Thursday it sees Costa Rica against Germany in FIFA World Cup Group E

Germany and Costa Rica clash head to head on Thursday in Group E in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as the tournament moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Kick-off : 10:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor

Germany have not been their normal one in this tournament so far and with defeat and draws to Japan and Spain respectively have left them a huge void to fill. They can beat Costa Rica is all that they can do.

Die Mannschaft will have to showcase defensive solidarity at the back and be regularly good in the final third.

Manager Hansi Flick will likely deploy his 4-2-3-1 system.

On the other hand, Costa Rica themselves find themselves in a spot of bother after the routing against Spain but they can take heart from the fact that they defeated the Japanese. Germany will be a different proposition though.

Los Tacos can be defensively solid while on the attacking front be good.

Manager Luis Fernando Suarez might go with a 3-4-2-1 system on Thursday.

Team news and possible lineups

Francisco Calvo is suspended for Costa Rica ahead of the Germany clash and hence won’t be available. While Juan Pablo Vargas and Jewison Bennette are both available and likely play.

As for the Germans, they have a fully fit squad to choose from.

Germany XI : Neuer, Klostermann, Sule, Rudiger, Raum, Kimmich, Gundogan, Gnabry, Musiala, Sane, Fullkrug.

Costa Rica XI : Navas, Fuller, Duarte, Vargas, Watson, Oviedo, Torres, Borges, Tejeda, Campbell, Contreras.

Prediction

Expecting it to be a tight affair but Germany with their experience and quality at this level should be enough to get them the job done on the day with a 2-0 win or more.
