In the first match of Friday in FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar Wales take on Iran in Group B

Wales and Iran go head to head on Friday in both of theirs second game of the campaign as the tournament moves ahead. Wales start this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 1:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, Al Rayyan

Wales will reflect to that draw they earned against USA in their first game of the campaign. They will now aim for three points against a down and out Iran side.

The Dragons can qualify from the section despite them being playing England last. They will need their main players to fire. A solid defence will once again be required.

Manager Rob Page might utilise a 3-5-2 formation against the Iranians.

On the other hand, Iran themselves are in trouble at the moment after that thumping against the English 2-6. They have a must win match now or be out of the World Cup.

Team Melli know they can’t play similarly to the previous game as they need to defend. On the attacking front they require as well.

Manager Carlos Queiroz might use a five-man defence at the back to contain the Welsh so a 5-4-1 formation.

Team news and possible lineups

Alireza Beiranvand is injured and won’t be available for Iran. While Ali Gholizadeh might get a start.

As for the Welsh, Kieffer Moore and Joe Allen are both available and might play.

Prediction

It is simple equation for Wales, they must look to win and have chances of qualification for the next round. They might win 2-0.
