FIFA World Cup 2022 – Wales vs England, Group B, match preview, predicted lineups

Wal vs Eng
As Group B comes to a close in FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar Wales play England

England play Wales in an All-British encounter on Tuesday in Group B in FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar. The English go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 10:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, Al Rayyan

England were drawn against The USA in their last fixture despite routing Iran in the first game. They should progress to the round-of-16 but they would want that in style.

The Three Lions have a good defence and attacking flair can be threatening to teams in the competition in which they will give their all the English players.

Boss Gareth Southgate will use his usual 4-2-3-1 formation on Tuesday.

On the other hand, Wales will be disappointed after their loss to the Iranians last time out and not being able to overcome The USA in the opening fixture. But they must now forget all these and go for the kill against a much superioir English side.

The Dragons need to be good defensively and they know that, while attacking wise they would like to do the honours and not once but as and when required.

Manager Rob Page will go with a 3-5-2 system on Tuesday.

Team news and possible lineups

Wayne Hennessey is suspended for the Welsh and won’t be available while Danny Ward takes up his place.

The English, they have a fully fit squad to choose from.

England XI : Pickford, Walker, Stones, Maguire, Shaw, Rice, Henderson, Sterling, Mount, Foden, Kane.

Wales XI : Ward, Mepham, Rodon, Davies, Roberts, Ramsey, Ampadu, Williams, James, Moore, Bale.

Prediction

I think England will have plenty of it for the Welsh who will be eager for an upset and hence The Three Lions to win 2-0.
