England eye win against Tunisia in FIFA World Cup Group G

England vs Tunisia
England will play Tunisia on Monday in their opening game of 2018 world cup
England and Tunisia are set to play each other on Monday night as both begin their world cup campaigns. England go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 9:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Volgograd Arena, Volgograd

England are in my opinion one of the favorites to lift this year’s world cup although many would argue. The Three Lions have only won the world cup once, which was 52 years ago. They must be eager for again creating history.

England have the world’s best League in the world in Premier League and have a strong pool of players in the current England from the PL. If they can gel well together then who knows.

On the other hand, Tunisia are one of the three North African teams which have qualified for this year’s world cup. Clearly they are not expected to progress beyond the group stage as due to the presence of Belgium but can gain experience for future.

The Eagles of Carthage performed well in the pre world cup friendlies and are in form and should be able to put up a challenge against the English on Monday night.

England and Tunisia have played each other just twice so far. In both of those games England went undefeated, winning and drawing once.

Team news and possible line-ups

Wahbi Khazri will captain Tunisia against England on Monday. While the likes of Fakhreddine Ben Youssef, Naim Sliti and Anice Badri are all available and will play.

As for England, Harry Kane will captain them. While Marcus Rashford is available and will likely play.

Tunisia XI : Mathlouthi, Bronn, Ben Youssef, Menah, Maaloul, Shkiri, Khaoui, Sassi, Sliti, Badri, Ben Youssef.

England XI : Pickford, Stones, Cahill, Walker, Trippier, Rose, Henderson, Alli, Lingard, Sterling, Kane.

Prediction

All though their have been surprises in this world cup already but I expect England to get the job done on Monday and win 2-1.
