Chelsea vs Southampton
Chelsea will play Southampton on Sunday in the Premier League
Chelsea and Southampton are set to go head to head on Sunday in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. The Blues go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 2:15 PM (Local)

Venue : St. Mary’s Stadium, Southampton

Chelsea have had a good start to their 2018/19 Premier league season. They are still unbeaten this season so far. Chelsea will look to continue the good work when they take on Southampton away.

Chelsea are currently fourth in the table after 7 games with 17 points. Chelsea will just have to play their normal football on Sunday and three more points are up for grabs. They will need to avoid complacency though.

The Blues next play rivals Manchester United in the Premier League after the international break.

On the other hand, Southampton have lost almost every game they have played so far and hence a poor start to their campaign. They will look to win a few games now.

The Saints are currently 16th in the table after 7 games with just 5 points. Task doesn’t get easier ahead as they play giants Chelsea, but they should give their all and hope for the best.

Chelsea have been doing well against Southampton in recent times and will look to continue the good work.

Team news and possible line-ups

Wesley Hoedt is available for Southampton for the weekend game and might play.

As for Chelsea, Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcus Alonso are both available and will likely play.

Southampton XI : McCarthy, Soares, Vestergaard, Hoedt, Bertrand, Lemina, Højbjerg, Elyounoussi, Ings, Redmond, Austin.

Chelsea XI : Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso, Jorginho, Kovacic, Willian, Kante, Hazard, Giroud.

Prediction

It should be a good game as both teams will give their all, but in the end I expect Chelsea to get the job done and earn three points. They might win 1-0.
