BBL 2022/23 – Sydney Sixers vs Hobart Hurricanes, match preview, predicted lineups

Six vs Hur
Sydney Sixers take on Hobart Hurricanes on Thursday in BBL 2022-23

Sydney Sixers take on Hobart Hurricanes on Thursday in BBL 2022/23 as the season moves ahead. Hobart Hurricanes come into this game as the favourites.

Date and Time : 22nd December 2022, 7:15 PM (Local)

Venue : SCG, Sydney

Sydney Sixers have lost both of their opening games and will be looking to bounce back to be in contention for the top spot. They will have to play quality cricket.

The Sixers haven’t batted that well and will look to bat their best which is the reason for their failure. Apart from that bowling looks thin as well as they require control.

Head coach Greg Shipperd will have his tactics laid out for the players to execute.

On the other hand, Hobart Hurricanes have won one game and lost one with them being on 5th. They will hope for winning outcomes as tournament progresses.

The Hurricanes batsman have shown good intent for batting and they will require more. Bowling wise they have to contain and is an area they will look to improve upon.

Coach Griffith and his players need to be tactical.

For the wicket, it should be a batting deck as bowlers may find something in it.

Team news and possible lineups

There are no fresh injury concerns for both sides at the moment.

Sydney Sixers XI : K. Patterson, Silk, Vince, S. Abbott, Christian, Henriques (C), H. Kerr, J. Philippe, J. Bird, I. Naveed, N-ul-Haq.

Hobart Hurricanes XI : Asif Ali, T. David, S. Khan, D. Short, Neesham, McDermott, M. Wade (C), N. Ellis, R. Meredith, J. Paris, P. Dooley.

I think Sixers will have the home advantage despite Hobart Hurricanes being in form and I expect Sixers to get out on top.
