Tata IPL 2022 – KKR vs DC, match preview, predicted lineups

KKR vs DC
Match no. 19 of IPL 2022 between KKR and DC takes place today

Kolkata Knight Riders the table toppers take on Delhi Capitals in Tata IPL 2022 as the season moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Date & Time : 10th April 2022, 7:30 PM IST

Venue : Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai

Kolkata Knight Riders are extremely high on confidence after their exploits against the Mumbai Indians. In that game Pat Cummins scored a 15-ball 56 to snatch the game from the Mumbai Indians.

KKR have beaten CSK, PBKS & MI so far, only loosing to RCB. They are on a good run and make the most of the winning momentum. Shreyas Iyer have proven to be quite a good leader.

They are scoring runs comfortably but still the top order hasn’t looked anywhere best. Somebody needs to stay till the end. Bowling wise they have Umesh Yadav as one guy who has been consistent and is currently the purple cap holder.

As for the Delhi Capitals, they have only won one game so far, loosing to new franchisees, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants consecutively. They must get back to winning ways.

DC have a good leader in Rishabh Pant and they must be motivated for every other IPL game. Delhi knows how to win games and must play their brand of cricket.

Delhi batting is a concern and the top batters must score big. Bowling wise they must restrict well and has to be said they haven’t been clinical with the bowl either. A good all round showing is needed.

In terms of the head to head, KKR are ahead by 16-12 out of the 29 games played between the two with one being a no-result.

For the wicket, Batsman will be aided while good bowlers will reap rewards.

Team news and possible lineups

There are no fresh injury concerns for both sides at the moment.

KKR XI : Rahane, V. Iyer, S. Iyer (C), Rana, Billings, Russell, Narine, Cummins, R. Salam, U. Yadav, Chakravarthy.

DC XI : Shaw, Warner, Powell, Pant (C&WK), S. Khan, L. Yadav, A. Patel, Thakur, K. Yadav, Rahman, Nortje.

Prediction

I expect the team winning the toss to have an advantage.
