ISL 2022/23 -Jamshedpur vs Goa, match preview, predicted lineups
Jamshedpur take on Goa on Thursday in 2022/23 ISL as the tournament moves ahead. Goa go into this game as the favourites.
Kick-off : 7:30 PM IST
Venue : JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur
Jamshedpur have not had the best of seasons thus far in the ISL and will have to bounce back. They are currently 10th in the points table after 10 games with just 4 points. The goal difference is -11.
The Red Miners have been fragile at the back and will have to improve. Attack wise too they lack and a complete turnaround is needed. After Goa they play Kerala Blasters in the new year.
Manager Aidy Boothroyd might go with a 4-4-2 system.
On the other hand, Goa have had an ok season thus far in the ISL and will look to improve upon things. They find themselves 6th in the points table after 10 games with 18 points. The goal difference is a +5.
The Gaurs defending have not been bad as they look to defend solidly ahead. Attack wise they have scored and they will aim to be clinical.
Manager Carlos Pena will go with a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Team news and possible lineups
Peter Hartley is suspended for Jamshedpur ahead of the Goa game.
As for Goa themselves, they have no fresh injury concerns.
Goa XI : Dheeraj Singh, S. Fernandes, F. Arnaout, Ali, A. Dohling, Chhetri, E. Bedia, R. Tlang, I. Guarrotxena, Fernandes, N. Sadaoui.
Jamshedpur XI : Yadav, Renthlei, E. Sabia, Chaudhari, R. Lallawmawma, Thangjam, Singh, Emmanuel-Thomas, Choudhary, Pandita, R. Crivellaro.
Prediction
I think given the current form that Goa are in it should be difficult for Jamshedpur to tackle. But home advantage is there and it might as well count in what could be a possible 1-1 draw.
