Argentina host Venezuela in Buenos Aires in a crucial World Cup Qualifier

Argentina vs Venezuela
Argentina will play Venezuela on Tuesday night
Argentina and Venezuela are set to play each other on Tuesday in FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia Qualifiers. Argentina are the favorites in this game and will look for three points.

Kick-off : 8:30 PM (Local)

Venue : El Monumental, Buenos Aires

Argentina having played Uruguay on Thursday drew that game. They are in need of some points to qualify directly to Russia.

They are placed fifth in the South American group with just three games remaining. They will hope to win every game.

A victory at home could see Argentina jump up to second if results fall to their advantage. Messi will need to fire on all cylinders if Argentina are to grind positive results.

Venezuela are lacking quality and they will have to give their all to compete on Tuesday. They are currently last in the points table.

Argentina hold their own destiny in their hands at present, but they must prove to their supporters in Buenos Aires they have the desire to play in another World Cup.

Team news and possible line-ups

Venezuela coach Rafael Dudamel will give opportunity to the youngsters in Tuesday’s game. Josef Martinez has been in fine form in the qualifying so far but is having some fitness issues and might not be 100% for this match.

Tomas Rincon should captain the side against Argentina. Salomon Rondon will play Tuesday’s game.

As for Argentina, Messi will play against Venezuela. While Sergio Romero will keep for the Albiceleste.

The Argentinian squad will be boosted by the presence of Di Maria and Mauro Icardi, both of whom will play on Tuesday.

Venezuela XI : Farinez, Garcia, Chancellor, Villanuea, Feltscher, Rincon, Herrera, Cordova, Machis, Martinez, Rondon.

Argentina XI : Romero, Fazio, Mercado, Otamendi, Acosta, Biglia, Pizarro, Di Maria, Dybala, Aguero, Messi.

Prediction

I expect Argentina to win this game 2-0.
