United look for three points away against Watford in midweek

Manchester United vs Watford
Manchester United will play Watford on Tuesday night in the Premier league
Manchester United are set to play Watford on Tuesday night in the premier League as the season moves ahead. United go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 7:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Vicarage Road, Watford

United won 1-0 against Brighton on Saturday but were unimpressive. They will need to carry on winning games in order to be in the title race.

Manchester City are on top and have an eight point advantage over United. They also won at the weekend against Huddersfield.

On the other hand, Watford are currently on 21 points and had a positive start to the season. They will not make things easy for Man United.

So far Manchester United and Watford have played each other 28 times. Out of that United have won 18 times whereas Watford have won just 5 times, 5 other games have been a draw.

Team news and possible line-ups

Watford captain Troy Deeney returns after completing a three match suspension. While Miguel Britos is a doubt for Tuesday’s game.

Also Craig Cathcart, Younes Kaboul, Nathaniel Chalobah and Isaac Success will all miss out against Man United due to injury.

As for United, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba are both available and might play against Watford.

Whereas Eric Bailly and Phil Jones are doubtful for the midweek game.

Watford XI : Gomes, Mariappa, Kabasele, Prodl, Femenia, Hughes, Doucoure, Cleverley, Zeegelaar, Richarlison, Gray.

Manchester United XI : De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Lindelof, Young, Matic, Pogba, Martial, Fellaini, Rashford, Ibrahimovic.

Prediction

While it’s not a given that Manchester United will win on Tuesday night, they certainly are the favorites. I expect Man United to get the job done and earn three points. The scoreline could be 3-1.
