The Blues eye progression to the final as they take on Tottenham at home in 2018/19 Carabao Cup Semi-Final second leg

Chelsea vs Tottenham
Chelsea will play Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday in the Carabao Cup
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are set to go head to head on Thursday in the 2018/19 Carabao Cup semi-final second leg. Both the teams will be looking for a win here.

Kick-off : 7:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Stamford Bridge, London

Chelsea disappointingly lost the first leg away to Spurs in the semi-final and that should pinch them. They will be looking to overturn the deficit.

The Blues should make the home advantage count if they aim to reach the final. Winning a trophy this season should be their ultimate aim and Carabao Cup provides that opportunity.

Chelsea will just need to play to their true potential and the job would be easy even though Tottenham Hotspur are a very good side.

On the other hand, Spurs will be extremely happy and pleased with the first leg performance and will look to continue playing positive football.

Tottenham Hotspur will need to avoid defeat if they are to progress to the final and they will do pretty good to keep their dreams alive.

Chelsea have a better record against Tottenham Hotspur and they will look to continue the good work.

Team news and possible line-ups

Dele Alli is doubtful for Tottenham Hotspur for the Chelsea game. While Eric Dier is available and will likely play.

As for The Blues, Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be unavailable as due to injury.

Tottenham Hotspur XI : Lloris, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Trippier, Dier, Winks, Davies, Eriksen, Lamela, Llorente.

Chelsea XI : Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Pedro, Giroud, Hazard.

Prediction

It will be a tough game between two good sides but I expect Chelsea to win this game comfortably and progress to the final of the Carabao Cup. They might win 2-0. The goalscorers might be Giroud and Hazard.
