Team India eye winning start to 2019 New Zealand tour

India vs New Zealand
India will play New Zealand tomorrow in the first ODI
India and New Zealand are set to go head to head on Wednesday in the first ODI as India begin their 2019 tour of the country. Team India go into this game as the favourites.

Date and Time : 23rd January 2019, 7:30 AM IST

Venue : McLean Park, Napier

Team India have coming to Australia’s neighbours New Zealand after a successful 2018/19 India tour of Australia. They must be full of confidence and they will give their all in New Zealand which they were gonna give anyway.

Captain Kohli will again be tasked to do the jobs with the support of the bowlers. Five ODI’s are their and playing this format should be good practice ahead of this year’s World Cup, though conditions will be different.

India know New Zealand will be tough at home but India will play their brand of football.

On the other hand, The Blackcaps will look to make the home advantage count as they take on a strong opposition in India.

Kane Williamson versus Kohli will be a good duel and a lot of other battles are their to look forward for the fans of both countries.

The Kiwis know they are an all-round team and should follow their strengths.

Team news and possible line-ups

Colin de Grandhomme is available for New Zealand for the midweek game and will likely play.

As for India, Kuldeep Yadav is available and will play.

New Zealand XI : K. Williamson (C), Guptill, Munro, R. Taylor, Latham (WK), Nicholls, C. de Grandhomme, Southee, L. Ferguson, T. Boult, I. Sodhi.

India XI : Kohli (C), R. Sharma, Dhawan, Dhoni (WK), Jadhav, D. Karthik, V. Shankar, B. Kumar, Shami, Chahal, K. Yadav.

Prediction

It should be a good game between two good sides but in the end I expect India to win this game.
