Tata IPL 2022 – KKR vs GT, match preview, predicted lineups

KKR vs GT
Match no. 35 of IPL 2022 between KKR and GT takes place today

Kolkata Knight Riders take on Gujarat Titans in Tata IPL 2022 as the season moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Date & Time : 23rd April 2022, 3:30 PM IST

Venue : Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai

Kolkata Knight Riders are not having a bad season thus far, the only thing is that they aren’t consistent and this is costing them. They need to play their brand of cricket.

KKR are currently seventh in the points table after 7 games with 6 points.

Kolkata have their top order batters get runs but they need to score big. Ideally they would want is someone getting a big hundred. Bowling wise Umesh Yadav has been their man but they need all round contribution.

KKR have so far won against CSK, PBKS & MI. They have lost to RCB, DC, SRH & RR.

On the other hand, Gujarat Titans are having a wonderful campaign having won almost all of their games so far. They will need to carry on similarly ahead.

GT are currently second in the points table after 6 games with 10 points.

Gujarat have the top order score runs except Matthew Wade, he needs to come good soon or be replaced. Bowling wise they have bowlers pick up wickets and that has been their success mantra. They would ideally want all bowlers to deliver the same way.

GT have so far won against, LSG, DC, PBKS, RR & CSK. They have lost to SRH.

This will be the first meeting between the two sides, a great occasion for fans to look forward to.

As for the wicket, Batsman will score but bowlers that are good enough getting wickets as well.

Team news and possible lineups

There are no fresh injury concerns for both sides at the moment.

KKR XI : V. Iyer, Finch, S. Iyer (C), Rana, Russell, Jackson (WK), Narine, Cummins, Mavi, U. Yadav, Chakravarthy.

GT XI : Wade/Saha (WK), Gill, V. Shankar, H. Pandya (C), Miller, A. Manohar, Tewatia, R. Khan, Y. Dayal/A. Joseph, L. Ferguson, Shami.

Prediction
