South Africa tour of India 2022 – 2nd T20I, match preview, predicted lineups

Ind vs SA
Match no. 2 of the 2022 India vs South Africa T20I series takes place today in Cuttack

India will take on South Africa in the second t20I of the 5-match series as the series moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Date & Time : 12th June 2022, 7:00 PM IST

Venue : Barabati Stadium, Cuttack

India were pretty good in the last T20I scoring good amount of runs against a strong South Africa side but were not able to defend the total. They will have to come out on top this time around. Three games more to go here.

Indian team need their bowlers to give them breakthroughs but unfortunately the team couldn’t deliver it. Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar are good bowlers apart from Chahal & Axar Patel.

Batting wise India did well as opener Ishan Kishan played a good knock followed by small-small contributions spanning down to the middle-order. They would want similar contributions i.e consistency.

On the other hand, South Africa were not that good with their bowling and it cost them a huge total. They will look to improve upon that. Batting won them the game.

The Proteas should take confidence from the fact that Wayne Parnell was amongst the wickets and he would be asked to deliver and contain India. Spinning would require more of a turnaround.

Batting wise Rassie van der Dussen & David Miller did the job for the team and they would only want the top order to be firing on all cylinders as the batting is strong.

As for the wicket, the batters will be able to score with spinners the leaders for slower bowlers.
