India have their domestic IPL season now over and we focus back on cricket. The 5-match T20I series commences today against a formidable opponent in South Africa. India will have to play quality cricket to clinch the series.

India last played a series against Sri Lanka at home in March in which they clean swept the Lankans in both the T20I and Test series. They will be confident going into this series.

The squad is pretty strong with good bowlers and a plethora of batsman all around. They will need to execute the plans.

On the other hand, South Africa last played a series at home to Bangladesh in which they won the Test series but lost the one-day series. They will have to play strong cricket in India to challenge the home team.

The Proteas know they have a struggle against slower bowlers especially spinners in Asian conditions and they must address it. They will have to exploit the Indian conditions. They have experience of it with a lot of South African players in the IPL this season.

The squad looks strong with good mixture of spinners and pacers. The batting is also promising. Let’s see how they fare.

For the wicket, the slower bowlers/spinners have been good at the venue. So teams will look to chase.
