Liverpool vs Stoke City
Liverpool will play Stoke City on Wednesday night in the Premier League
Liverpool are set to play Stoke City away on Wednesday night in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. The Reds go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 8:00 PM (Local)

Venue : bet365 Stadium, Stoke-on-Trent

Liverpool are currently on sixth place in the table with 23 points. They are 14 points behind leaders Manchester City. They know they need to keep winning games to be in the title race.

The Reds drew 1-1 with Chelsea at the weekend. They failed to capitalize after Mohamed Salah put them in front.

On the other hand, Stoke City are currently 15th in the table with 13 points from as many games. They are quite obviously struggling at the moment but will need to provide a sterner test against Liverpool.

So far Liverpool and Stoke City have played each other 152 times. Out of that the Reds have won 76 times while Stoke have won 36 times, 40 other games have been a draw.

It should be a good game on Wednesday night as both teams will give their all.

Team news and possible line-ups

Stoke City will be without Jack Butland, Geoff Cameron and Stephen Ireland as they are all out injured.

As for Liverpool, Emre Can and Dejan Lovren are doubtful for Wednesday’s game. While Dany Ward, Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Bogdan all remain sidelined.

Adam Lallana is available and might play against Stoke City.

Stoke City XI : Grant, Zouma, Shawcross, Wimmer, Jese, Fletcher, Allen, Pieters, Shaqiri, Crouch, Chuopo-Moting.

Liverpool XI : Mignolet, Milner, Lovren, Klavan, Moreno, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Coutinho, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Prediction

While it’s not a given that Liverpool will win on Wednesday night, they certainly are the favorites. I expect Liverpool to get the job done and earn three points. I think Liverpool will win 1-0.
