Manchester United look for three points against Southampton

United vs Southampton
Man United play Southampton on Saturday in the Premier League
Manchester United will play Southampton away on Saturday in the Premier League. United go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 2:00 PM (Local)

Venue : St. Mary’s Stadium

Manchester United will look to maintain their winning streak as they travel south to face the Saints.

Jose Mourinho’s team is currently on second place in the table and they will look to get on top by defeating Southampton.

Mauricio Pellegrino’s side has won two games so far and drawn two in the opening five matches. Watford is the only team that has defeated them so far.

Southampton are currently ranked ninth in the table. They will try get a point at least as United have not been doing well on their travels so far.

So it should be a good competitive match on Saturday between the two teams.

Team news and possible line-ups

Virgil van Dijk will be available for Saturday’s game and is likely to start. Pellegrino were not in action during the week as they are already been knocked out of the competition.

So the coach will have a full squad to choose from against the Red Devils.

As for United, Mourinho rested a number of regular starters for the Carabao Cup game against Burton, they will all likely return.

David de Gea, Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku are all available for Saturday’s game. But Paul Pogba will be unavailable due to injury.

Marcos Rojo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic remain out due to their respective injuries.

Southampton XI : Forster, Soares, Bertand, Yoshida, Van Dijk, Romeu, Lemina, Davis, Tadic, Redmond, Long.

Manchester United XI : De Gea, Valencia, Young, Jones, Bailly, Matic, Fellaini, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Rashford, Lukaku.

Prediction

Considering United’s current form, I expect them to defeat Southampton on Saturday. It could be 2-0.
