Real Madrid yesterday played out a boring 1-1 draw with Valladolid at the Bernabeu to gain a point. They will feel disappointed by that.

Valladolid on the other hand should be very happy with their performance especially away. Now that makes for them two good outings this season in La Liga.

Albivioletas won their opening game against Real Betis 2-1 at the Benito Villamarin. Now churned out a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid at their own turf.

Sergio would be very proud of that and they must continue in the same passion ahead. For Real Madrid they have much to look forward to.

In terms of the match, Real Madrid started with a lot of hope going into the fixture after the wonders at Balaidos in the opening fixture.

So Los Blancos started positively with intent to score and lead early on in the game to go ahead. But Valladolid didn’t gave them the opportunity.

It must have been frustrating for manager Zinedine Zidane as he couldn’t do a thing about it. He played Isco in the starting XI who performed all but OK.

The first half was a lame one as we heard the half-time whistle from the ref. Both the managers had plenty to ponder and think about.

With the second half underway their were renewed expectations at The Bernabeu of Real Madrid scoring although they weren’t able to do so in the half an hour of the game in the 2nd half.

Neither were Valladolid threatening that much and the scoreline showed 0-0 as we moved to the final ten minutes of the game.

It was now then that Los blanks scored through the help of Karim Benzema who scored in 82nd minute much to the joy of the supporting fans.

Though it was a short-lived advantage as Sergio Guardiola Navarro equalised in the 88th minute to break Real Madrid hearts.

All done and dusted we had a good football match between two teams who refused to loose although a bit boring as well. But that is football.

The teams now move forward as we will next see Real Madrid in action against Villarreal away from home on September 1st.
