Liverpool play Leicester in the Football League Cup

Football League Cup
Liverpool will play Leicester on Tuesday night in the Football League Cup
Liverpool is all set to play Leicester City in midweek in the Football League Cup. Both teams will be looking for a win.

Kick-off : 6:45 PM (Local)

Venue : King Power Stadium

Jurgen Klopp’s men will have to get back to winning ways on Tuesday as they have not been able to win games recently.

The League Cup is a different settings and both teams might rest some of their key players. The Reds also have Champions League football this season.

Leicester have been playing well recently and have avoided defeat in 10 of their last 12 home games. So they will be quiet confident going into this game.

Whereas Liverpool will be a little low in confidence following a 5-0 defeat to Manchester City. But they are a good side and can put aside the poor results.

It should be a good competitive game on Tuesday night and both teams will give their all.

Team news and possible line-ups

Craig Shakespeare have no injury concerns for Tuesday’s game. But he will likely rotate his squad.

Jamie Vardy, Christian Fuchs and Matty James are likely to be rested for this game. Wes Morgan will captain the side.

As for Liverpool, Sadio Mane is still suspended. While Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana and Adam Bogdan remain injured and will not be available.

Jurgen Klopp will rest some of his first team regulars for this game. Jordan Henderson will play and captain the side.

Leicester City XI : Schmeichel, Simpson, Chilwell, Morgan, Huth, Gray, King, Albrighton, Amartey, Musa, Slimani.

Liverpool XI : Karius, Gomez, Robertson, Moreno, Alexander-Arnold, Henderson, Milner, Can, Solanke, Salah, Sturridge.

Prediction

I think given both teams recent form, It should be a tight game. It should be hard to separate both the sides and might end in a draw.
