Liverpool eye victory against Porto away in 2018/19 UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg

Liverpool vs Porto
Liverpool will play Porto on Wednesday in the Champions League
Liverpool will play Porto on Wednesday in 2018/19 UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg as both teams eye progression. The Reds go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 8:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Estadio do Dragao, Porto

Liverpool did well in the first leg against Porto in the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League quarter-final registering a 2-0 win. But still work needs to be done as they must ensure a successful passage to the semi’s.

The Reds will be aware that Porto at their own home are gonna come all guns blazing but Liverpool are themselves a top quality side and they will play their best football to ensure they win.

Liverpool will play next Cardiff City in the Premier League.

On the other hand, Porto will be extremely disappointed that they lost to Liverpool in the first leg but know they still have chances as they welcome them in Porto.

Porto know Liverpool are a strong side and though chances as slim as they are if Porto play their best football maybe they can have an outside chance scoring two goals and conceding none.

The Reds have a very good record against Porto and they will look to continue the good work.

Team news and possible line-ups

Mouandilmadji will not be available for Porto for the Liverpool game as due to injury.

As for The Reds, Jordan Henderson is doubtful.

Porto XI : Casillas, E. Militao, F. Monteiro, Pepe, A. Telles, Otavinho, Danilo, Herrera, Brahimi, Marega, Tiquinho.

Liverpool XI : Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Fabinho, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Prediction

It should be a good game as both teams will give their all but in the end I expect The Reds to edge Porto. The Reds might win 2-1. The goalscorers might be Milner and Firmino for Liverpool and Marega for Porto.
