Liverpool will play Newcastle on Saturday in the Premier League
Liverpool will play Newcastle on Saturday in 2018/19 Premier League as the season comes to a close. The Reds go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 7:45 PM (Local)

Venue : St. James’ Park, Newcastle

Liverpool will be in a bit of a bother now as City are still a point clear of them atop and only two games left in the season. They need some luck factor to be able to clinch the Premier League title now apart from the hard work they will put in.

The Reds are currently second in the points table after 36 games with 91 points. Against Newcastle though away they will have to gather all three points playing solid football.

Liverpool also have crucial Champions League tie against Barcelona coming up.

On the other hand, Newcastle had an OK season but will look to play positive football ending the 2018/19 season.

The Magpies at the moment are thirteenth in the points table after 36 games with 42 points. Liverpool should bring a tough challenge and Newcastle will be hoping to provide the necessary competition to gain something from the game.

Liverpool have a good record against Newcastle and they will look to continue the good work.

Team news and possible line-ups

Miguel Almiron, Florian Lejeune and Sean Longstaff will all be not available for Newcastle for the weekend game as due to injuries.

As for Liverpool, Naby Keita and Adam Lallana are both doubtful.

Newcastle XI : Dubravka, J. Manquillo, Schar, Fernandez, Dummet, Ritchie, Atsu, Ki, Hayden, Kenedy, Rondon.

Liverpool XI : Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Prediction

It should be a tightly contested game as Newcastle will be playing at home giving their all but I expect Liverpool to extract full three points given their need. They probably will win 2-0.
