India host Australia in a three match ODI series commencing on Tuesday as both teams meet for first time since the 2019 World Cup.

Date and Time : 14th January 2020, 1:30 PM IST

Venue : Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai

The Indian team have had a wonderful home season so far stretching as far as the fourth quarter of 2019. They are strong at home.

Now come the Aussie challenge which everyone would be waiting for to really gauge the progress despite it being the one-dayers.

Coming to the game, this wicket offers much for batting and defending runs becomes tough on it. So India might bowl first if they win the toss.

Rohit Sharma has a good record against the Aussies, scoring seven centuries against them. Indian batters tend to perform well against Australia. So we can expect Kohli and co. to light up the series.

A lot of bowlers have come through the ranks and Indian bowling pool is ever increasing, they will be tested against Australia in this series. Fielding standards certainly have been on a rise as well.

On the other hand, Australia know how successful they were when they last toured India and would want to contemplate that.

David Warner, Steve Smith and Aaron Finch have done well in the past against India and Australia will need them if they see Australia winning in India.

Bowling wise Australia have been talented historically and with Pat Cummins have a proven record against India, he will spearhead the lineup.

Australia is a bat first team but with dew expected we can expect Australia to change tactics a bit. Only time will tell how they fare on the tour.

Team news and possible lineups

As for India, we should probably expect to see both Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal to feature tomorrow given the Aussies troubles against the duo.
