India tour of England 2022 – 1st T20I, match preview, predicted lineups

Eng vs Ind
India will take on England on their 2022 England tour in the first T20 of the 3-match series on Thursday

India play England in the first game of the 3-match T20I series in Hampshire as the tour moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Date & Time : 7th July 2022, 6:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Rose Bowl Cricket Ground, Hampshire

Indian team were unlucky in the only Test match of this tour to loose by 7 wickets in a game where the result could have gone reverse as well. They didn’t play badly but the bowling in the fourth innings were taken to the cleaners by English batting as they failed to even defend 378 in a Test match. They must now focus on the limited-overs leg of the tour.

The current Indian team for the T20’s is capable enough to score huge totals and trouble this English side as they will need it. The bowling will need to persist in these conditions as they too are a capable unit.

India have their next game on Saturday.

On the other hand, England were brilliant in the Test series against India as they continued their winning run from the New Zealand series. They are winning a lot England in recent times and they will look for another clean sweep against a good Indian outfit.

The English team is very capable of troubling India both in the batting department and the bowling. They just need to execute it.

For the wicket, it will be a balanced one.

Team news and possible lineups

There are no fresh injury concerns for both sides at the moment.

India XI : R. Sharma (C), Kishan, Samson (WK), S. Yadav, Hooda, H. Pandya, D. Karthik, H. Patel, Chahal, A. Khan, B. Kumar.

England XI : Roy, Salt, D. Malan, Buttler (C & WK), Livingstone, Ali, Willey, Jordan, Mills, Parkinson, Topley.

Prediction

England will be favourites to start off but a lot depends on the toss.
