India eye 2-0 at Mount Maunganui as they move forward to a One-day series win on their 2019 NZ tour

India vs New Zealand
India will play New Zealand in the second ODI tomorrow
India and New Zealand will play each other in the second one-day international of the five tomorrow as the series moves ahead. Team India go into this game as the favourites.

Date and Time : 26th January 2019, 7:30 AM IST

Venue : Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui

Team India after their strong performance in the first ODI will again look for a strong showing in the second ODI to stamp their authority on the tour and the ODI series.

The Bowling was extremely powerful in Napier as The Kiwis struggled to play the 50 overs. A similar performance is expected in Mount Maunganui. The Bowlers need to tidy up tings.

While the Batting was superb as well resulting in a high quality Indian performance.

On the other hand, New Zealand are too strong a side at home to display that kind of a performance as in Napier and will be desperate to bounce back.

New Zealand failed batting wise and they would not want a repeat of that performance again. The Bowlers had very little to do.

India are a champion side and New Zealand are aware of the dangers.

India have a good record against New Zealand in ODI’s and they will like to continue the good work.

Team news and possible line-ups

Ish Sodhi is available for New Zealand and will likely play.

As for India, they will likely play the same XI as in the previous game.

New Zealand XI : K. Williamson (C), Guptill, C. Munro, R. Taylor, Latham (WK), Nicholls, Santner, Bracewell, L. Ferguson, T. Boult, I. Sodhi.

India XI : R. Sharma, Dhawan, Kohli (C), Dhoni (WK), Jadhav, Rayudu, V. Shankar, B. Kumar, M. Shami, Chahal, K. Yadav.

Prediction

I expect India to win this game and take a 2-0 lead in the series.
