France eye win against Australia in FIFA World Cup Group C

France vs Australia
France will play Australia on Saturday in their opening match of 2018 world cup
France and Australia are set to play each other on Saturday as both begin their 2018 world cup campaign. France go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 1:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Kazan Arena, Kazan

France are one of the favorites for the tournament and will look to get off to a winning start. They certainly have all the talent at their disposal to win on Saturday.

It’s been 20 year’s since the French last won the world cup and this might be the year to win their second world cup. France performed well in the friendlies just before the world cup and will look to build on the momentum.

On the other hand, Australia were pretty solid in the friendlies just before the world cup and they are ready for the world cup. The Socceroos are in a tough group which contains the likes of Denmark and Peru apart from France.

The first game for them is a tough task but the next two games are a bit fairer. They will have to give their all to get even a point.

Both theses sides have met before thrice. Out of that both have won one, lost one and drawn one game.

Team news and possible line-ups

Matthew Ryan, Mark Milligan and Aaron Mooy are all available for Australia and will likely play against France.

As for France, Hugo Lloris will captain them on Saturday. While all the star players, Raphael Varane, Samuel Umtiti, N’Golo Kante, Paul Pogba, Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe, Olivier Giroud and Ousmane Dembele are ready and will play at the weekend.

Australia XI : Ryan, Ridson, Sainsbury, Milligan, Behich, Luongo, Mooy, Kruse, Leckie, Rogic, Nabbout.

France XI : Lloris, Pavard, Varane, Umtiti, Mendy, Kante, Pogba, Matuidi, Griezmann, Mbappe, Giroud.

Prediction

I expect France to win the game 3-1.
