FIFA World Cup 2022 – Croatia vs Belgium, Group F, match preview, predicted lineups

Cro vs Bel
In one of the games of the early kick-off it sees Croatia against Belgium in Group F in FIFA World Cup 2022

Croatia play Belgium on Thursday in FIFA World Cup 2022 Group F as the tournament moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Kick-off : 6:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, Al Rayyan

2018 World Cup runners-up Croatia despite having not lost a game so far in this tournament expect they could have been perhaps better and they would want to finish group stage on a high.

The Checkered Ones backline have only been breached once by Canada and although Belgium pose a significant threat they will be confident. Attack wise they showed glimpses against in the 4-1 win and would look to follow the template.

Manager Zlatko Dalic will go with the 4-3-3 formation on Thursday.

On the other hand, Belgium will be disappointed with the way thus far have performed especially the loss in the last game to Morocco. They will have to find a way against counterparts Croatia.

The Red Devils defensive acumen needs to be in perfect shape while attack wise they need to be at their very best.

Boss Roberto Martinez might go with a 4-2-3-1 system.

Team news and possible lineups

Amadou Onana won’t be available for Belgium for the Croatia game as due to suspension.

As for the Croats, they are likely going to go with same XI as in the previous game.

Croatia XI : Livakovic, Juranovic, D. Lovren, Gvardiol, Sosa, Modric, Brozovic, Kovacic, Kramaric, Livaja, Perisic.

Belgium XI : T. Courtois, Castagne, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Meunier, Tielemans, Witsel, Carrasco, De Bruyne, E. Hazard, Batshuayi.

Prediction

I think it will be a close game given what’s at stake especially for the Belgians. Maybe Belgium to win 2-0.
