Dortmund were struggling in their away fixture to Augsburg in the Bundesliga, trailing 1-3 when the 19-year-old was substituted to make his debut and soon after coming, within three minutes he reduced the deficit.

In the end Borussia Dortmund went on to win the game 5-3 after he scored three (59′, 70′, 79′). The other goal scorers were Julian Brandt and Jadon Sancho for Dortmund.

Florian Niederlechner and Marco Richter were the scorers for FC Augsburg.

Haaland said he was at an exceptional club with good players and fans and he wanted to score goals here and it was a dream debut.
