England draw with Brazil at Wembley

England vs Brazil
England and Brazil played out a goalless draw yesterday night
England once again played well to produce another goalless draw in the international break. Earlier they drew 0-0 with Germany on Friday.

England will be more happier than Brazil as they were a depleted side and had to face a sterner test. Whereas Brazil had many of their key players and yet couldn’t produce a win.

The Three Lions end this year on a high as they prepare for next year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia. Brazil obviously have also qualified and are preparing.

Brazil who won comfortably against Japan on Friday in France couldn’t repeat the heroics and five time world champions had to settle for a draw.

But Brazil kept the more of possession earlier on and had a few chances while the English struggled to keep possession.

Gareth Southgate had made five changes to the squad as Joe Hart, Kyle Walker, Ryan Bertrand, Marcus Rashford and Joe Gomez were given starts.

Brazil were the better team in the first half although they hadn’t had goals to show for it as English players barely got a touch of the ball.

Last games man of the match Ruben Loftus-Cheek were not allowed time and space on the ball as he failed to impress this time.

World record signing Neymar also didn’t impress much in the game and failed to get his team a victory. But his presence on the field must have been a treat to watch for English fans.

There were substitutions in the game as guys like Jesse Lingard and Fernandinho came but they also failed to trouble the scorers.

At the end the spoils were shared and handshakes were all around. All in all it was a good footballing match that we fans witnessed as we wait for Russia.
