Chelsea will host West Ham on Sunday in the Premier League

Chelsea and West Ham go head to head on Sunday in the Premier league as the season nears it’s conclusion. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Kick-off : 2:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Stamford Bridge, London

The Blues although suffering from a disappointing defeat to rivals Arsenal in their last game find themselves in a promising position to finish third this season in the PL. They need to play positive football.

Chelsea are currently at third in the points table after 31 games with 62 points. They are four points clear of fifth-placed Tottenham with couple of games in hand.

A London derby should be a great occasion to lift the spirits as manager Tuchel will deploy a 3-4-1-2 system. West Ham will be tough opponents so a good defense is needed apart from clinical goal scoring.

On the other hand, West Ham are having a good season this term and will hope for a top six finish. They have European football to look forward too.

The Hammers are currently seventh in the points table after 33 games with 52 points. They are only a couple of points behind fifth-placed Man United with a game in hand.

Manager David Moyes will deploy a 4-2-3-1 formation with emphasis on good defensive play apart from focus on goal.

Team news and possible lineups

Mateo Kovacic, Ben Chilwell, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Antonio Rudiger are all absent for Chelsea ahead of the weekend fixture.

As for, West Ham, they have Issa Diop, Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna all unavailable.

Chelsea XI : Mendy, James, Chalobah, Silva, Alonso, Jorginho, Kante, Mount, Ziyech, Havertz, Werner.

West Ham XI : Fabianski, Johnson, Dawson, Rice, Cresswell, Bowen, Fornals, Soucek, Lanzini, Benrahma, Antonio.

Prediction

The game is significantly important for both teams and I expect a fiercely fought encounter. So a 1-1 draw.
