Chelsea and Manchester City are set to play each other on Sunday in 2018 FA Community Shield final. Both teams will be looking for a win.

Kick-off : 3:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Wembley Stadium, London

Chelsea resume their 2018/19 season duties with Community Shield tie against Manchester City. The Blues have had less time to prepare for the new season ahead as because of the world cup.

They have had mixed success so far in the pre season games. But they will need to quickly get into winning mode as they approach the prestigious Community Shield.

Chelsea know that it’s not going to be easy and they will have to be at their very best against defending Premier League champions.

On the other hand, Manchester City will too be eager for success in the Community Shield as they prepare to defend their Premier League title.

Much like Chelsea City too have had less time to prepare for the upcoming season ahead due to the world cup and they have had mixed success so far in the pre season games.

City though know they will now have to give their all in Community Shield final against giants Chelsea.

Team news and possible line-ups

Riyad Mahrez is doubtful for City for the Sunday’s game.

As for Chelsea, Cesc Fabregas is doubtful for the weekend game as due to injury. While Jorginho is expected to make his debut.

Manchester City XI : Ederson, Bolton, Otamendi, Laporte, Mendy, Gundogan, Foden, D. Silva, Sane, B. Silva, Aguero.

Chelsea XI : Caballero, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Rudiger, Alonso, Jorginho, Barkley, Drinkwater, Pedro, Hudson-Odoi, Morata.

Prediction

It’s difficult to predict the outcome of this game as both teams are equal on paper. May the best team who commits less mistakes on the day win.
