Chelsea look for three points away against Roma

Chelsea vs Roma
Chelsea will play Roma on Tuesday night in the Champions League
Chelsea is set to play Roma on Tuesday night in the UEFA Champions league as the season moves ahead. The Blues go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 8:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Stadio Olimpico

Chelsea will seal qualification to next round if they win on Tuesday night and other match results go in their favor.

Roma and Chelsea will play each other at Stadio Olimpico to conclude the second half of their double header.

In their previous meeting they both drew 3-3. Eden Hazard and Edin Dzeko scored two goals apiece in the six-goal thriller.

Both the managers, Eusebio Di Francesco and Antonio Conte will hope for defensive improvements in Rome.

Chelsea are currently top of the group with seven points from three games. They will qualify for the knockouts if Atletico Madrid fail to beat Qarabag on Tuesday night.

Chelsea and Roma have now faced each other five times. Out of that Chelsea have won twice while the Italian side have won once, while two games have ended as a draw.

Team news and possible line-ups

Patrik Schick, Gregoire Defrel, Emerson Palmeiri, Kevin Strootman and Stephan El Shaarawy are all doubtful for Tuesday’s game for Roma.

As for Chelsea, N’Golo Kante is a doubt for Tuesday’s game. While Danny Drinkwater is available and might play against Roma.

Victor Moses remain out of action with a hamstring problem.

Roma XI : Alisson, Bruno Peres, Juan Jesus, Fazio, Kolarov, De Rossi, Strootman, Nainggolan, Florenzi, Perotti, Dzeko.

Chelsea XI : Courtois, Cahill, Luiz, Azpilicueta, Zappacosta, Fabregas, Bakayoko, Alonso, Pedro, Hazard, Morata.

Prediction

While it’s not a given that Chelsea will win on Tuesday night, they certainly start this game as the favorites. I expect Chelsea to get the job done. The scoreline could be 2-1.
