Chelsea are set to play Bournemouth on Wednesday in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. The Blues go into this game as the favourites.

Chelsea did well on Sunday to see off Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup fourth round to progress to the next round. They will now resume the Premier League duties.

The Blues are at the moment fourth in the points table after 23 games with 47 points. Bournemouth away should be tough but manageable and Chelsea will play to the best of their abilities.

The Blues have their next three game against Huddersfield, Manchester City and Malmo across Premier League and Europa League respectively.

On the other hand, Bournemouth are doing OK in 2018/19 Premier League but will be looking for improvements.

Bournemouth are at the moment twelfth in the points table after 23 games with 30 points. In Chelsea they have got top quality opponents against whom they will have to produce their best football to achieve success.

Chelsea have a good record against Bournemouth and they will look to continue the good work.

Team news and possible line-ups

Lewis Cook and Simon Francis will both be not available for Bournemouth for the midweek game as due to injuries.

As for Chelsea, Gonzalo Higuain will be given his Premier League debut. While Emerson Palmieri is available and might play.

Prediction

It should be a good game between two good sides with Bournemouth having the advantage but it should be Chelsea who come out winners in the end. They might win 3-0. The goalscorers might be Mateo Kovacic, Eden Hazard and Willian.
