Australia tour of Sri Lanka 2022 – 5th ODI, match preview, predicted lineups

SL vs Aus
Fifth and final one-dayer of Australia tour of SL 2022 takes place today

Sri Lanka will take on Australia in the fifth ODI of the 5-match series as the 2022 Aus tour of SL moves ahead. Both teams will be looking for a win here.

Date & Time : 24th June 2022, 2:30 PM (Local)

Venue : R. Premdasa Stadium, Colombo

Sri Lanka won the one-day series three days ago in Colombo and it has been a historic success for them as they now look to finish off the Aussies. SL will need to play their brand of cricket.

The Lankans have been solid in the ODI series with the bat and bowling wise they will look for more accuracy. The spinners have been good as usual. They will look to use spin again in the final game.

Sri Lanka will now look forward to the 2-match Test series.

On the other hand, Australia we’re good in the T20 series and won it but ODI’s have been different for them. They are outplayed here by a better Sri Lankan team and are only playing for pride.

The Aussies have not been bad with the bat and will need more of it in the final game. Bowling wise they will need to do a bit more. Overall the games have been close.

The wicket on Friday will have something in it for the spinners as the batsman will have to churn out the runs.
