Arsenal will host Sheffield United at The Emirates on Saturday in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. The Gunners start this game as favourites.

Kick-off : 3:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Emirates Stadium, London

Arsenal are starting to do well under Mikel Arteta and they must carry on in the same process as they are only seven points clear of the relegation zone.

The Gunners sit tenth in the points table with six victories and ten draws collecting 28 points from 22 fixtures. Arsenal are 11 points behind the top four.

Arsenal lost the reverse fixture in October at Bramall Lane and they mustn’t take their rivals lightly. With players injured and especially Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang suspended, it’s a selection headache for Arteta. But games against lesser opposition are must-wins.

Arsenal have been poor away from home in past few seasons. This season they have won just twice away while four wins are at home. With victory on Saturday, Arsenal can leapfrog a few teams ahead of them, also results elsewhere favouring them.

Sheffield United, on the other hand have shown promise this season with their form and enjoy being sixth in the table.

Chris Wilder’s side have won eight games this season while drawing eight, collecting 32 points in the process. They have maintained their early season form. The Blades have picked up ten points from their last six games.

The manager have been consistent with his selection process and the forwards are the only ones being rotated. Earlier this season Lys Mousset proved to be the winner against The Gunners.

Sheffield have only won thrice away from home this season while loosing only twice. They will look to hurt Arsenal on the wide as Arsenal will depend a lot on 18-year-old winger Bukayo Saka at left-back.

Tactically it will be a good battle as Arteta’s five-up formation meets Wilder’s overlapping centre-back system.

Arsenal are without Aubameyang due to his suspension, but also have Sead Kolasinac, Lucas Torreira and Hector Bellerin facing late fitness tests.

Elsewhere, Calum Chambers and Kieran Tierney are both out with long-term issues.

The Blades, on the other hand, have no fresh doubts ahead of the Arsenal game.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Leno; Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, Luiz, Saka; Guendouzi, Xhaka; Pepe, Ozil, Martinelli; Lacazette

Sheffield United possible starting lineup: Henderson; Basham, Egan, O’Connell; Baldock, Lundstram, Norwood, Fleck, Stevens; McGoldrick, McBurnie

Prediction

We say: Arsenal 2-1 Sheffield United

The Gunners are now getting to play better under Arteta and he must have enough for them to win, although Sheffield will cause problems.
