Arsenal eye victory against Cardiff City away in 2018/19 Premier League

Arsenal vs Cardiff City
Arsenal will play Cardiff City on Sunday in the Premier League
Arsenal are set to play Cardiff City on Sunday in the Premier League as the season moves ahead. The Gunners go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 1:30 PM (Local)

Venue : Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff

Arsenal started their 2018/19 Premier League season poorly with back to back defeats against Manchester City and Chelsea but registered a morale boosting win over West Ham. Arsenal are currently 13th in the table.

They will now be looking for yet another win as they take on Cardiff City away. But they should avoid complacency and give Cardiff City due respect albeit going for a win.

The Gunners have their next game against Newcastle after the international break.

On the other hand, Cardiff City have had an OK start to their new Premier League season after suffering an opening day defeat and then churning out two draws.

They will now be hoping to register their first win of the campaign although have Arsenal in their way. But they should give their all and hope for the best.

Arsenal have done well against Cardiff City in recent times and will look to continue the good work.

Team news and possible line-ups

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Aron Gunnarsson will both be not available for Cardiff City for the weekend game as due to injury. While Junior Hoilett is doubtful.

As for Arsenal, Mesut Ozil is a doubt against Cardiff.

Cardiff City XI : Etheridge, Ecuele Manga, Morrison, Bamba, Bennett, Ralls, Paterson, Camarasa, Arter, Murphy, Zohore.

Arsenal XI : Cech, Bellerin, Sokratis, Müstafi, Monreal, Torreira, Xhaka, Ramsey, Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Aubameyang.

Prediction

It should be a good game as both teams will give their all but in the end I expect Arsenal to get the job done and earn three points. I expect them to win 2-1.
