Argentina eye victory at home against Nicaragua in 2019 friendly

Argentina vs Nicaragua
Argentina will play Nicaragua on Friday in an International friendly
Argentina and Nicaragua will go head to head on Friday in an international friendly as both teams prepare for their upcoming continental championships. La Albiceleste go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 9:10 PM (Local)

Venue : Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario, San Juan

Argentina aren’t having a particularly good year in international football after having lost a game to Venezuela this year but also next winning up against Morocco. But now they face lowly Nicaragua.

La Albiceleste know they are preparing for the upcoming Copa America in which their performances will be up for worldwide attention. So they need to plan accordingly as they can test out their strategy taking on Central Americans Nicaragua.

It shouldn’t be much of a challenge but still they should play with full determination and get a good result before their first group game against Colombia on 15th June in the Copa America. Argentina also have Paraguay and Qatar in their group.

On the other hand, Nicaragua too are preparing for the Gold Cup and playing Argentina should be a good thing. They though need to up their game and play to the best of their abilities as they can.

Nicaragua in the Gold Cup are in a tough group for them in Costa Rica, Haiti and Bermuda i.e Group B. So it’s a good learning experience and good signs for future to improve. Although they shouldn’t expect anything in down under in Argentina.

Team news and possible line-ups

Juan Barrera will captain Nicaragua against Argentina.

As for La Albiceleste, Matias Suarez is available and will likely play.

Nicaragua XI : Lorente, Quijano, Rosas, O. Lopez, Copete, Barrera, M. Lopez, Betancur, Punyed, Galeano, Bonilla.

Argentina XI : Armani, Saravia, Pezzella, Otamendi, Acuna, Lo Celso, Pizarro, Rodriguez, Suarez, Agüero, Messi.

Prediction

Argentina to win 3-0.
