West Indies tour of The Netherlands 2022 – 3rd ODI, match preview, predicted lineups

Ned vs WI
West Indies will play The Netherlands in the third and final ODI today

West Indies take on The Netherlands in the third and final ODI of the three-match series as the tour comes to a close. West Indies go into this game as the favourites.

Date & Time : 4th June 2022, 11:00 AM (Local)

Venue : VRA Cricket Ground, Amstelveen

West Indies have been clinical in the series so far and have been able to chase whatsoever total has been put by the Dutch. They will look to keep playing their brand of cricket.

The Caribbean side chased down the totals in both ODI’s over 200 and they have the batsman who stood out for them. Bowling maybe needs a bit of improvement.

Captain Nicholas Pooran’s form is a big problem for the Windies but he will surely pick up again. In the bowling department the bowlers will need to be consistent and they key men amongst wickets apart from containing. The Windies next series is against Pakistan in Pakistan in 4 days time.

On the other hand, Netherlands have shown their good side so far in the series and shown as to how far the dutch cricket has reached. They played Windies bowling well and in both one-day’s put up decent totals. They will look to carry on.

If their is one weakness prominent in this current side is their bowling, being not able to bowl out teams. They will need to quickly improve upon that.

Skipper Pieter Seelaar have not done bad captaincy despite Holland loosing and he needs some runs under his belt. The next series for Holland is up against England in mid June.

For the wicket, the batsman will be aided while bowlers will have to put in hard work.

Team news and possible lineups

There are no fresh injury concerns for both sides at the moment.

West Indies XI : Hope (WK), Brooks, Bonner, Pooran (C), King, Mayers, Carty, A. Hosein, A. Joseph, A. Phillip, H. Walsh Jr.

Netherlands XI : V. Singh, M. O’Dowd, Edwards (WK), B. de Leede, M. Ahmed, Nidamanuru, Seelaar (C), L. van Beek, A. Dutt, Klein, S. Ahmad.

Prediction

I expect West Indies to win again as The Netherlands require more experience at this level.
