Team India look to win the ODI series in Pallekele

India vs SL
India will play Sri Lanka in the 3rd ODI in Pallekelle
India already lead the one-day series 2-0 and on Sunday they would want to win the series. Virat Kohli’s men are undefeated on this tour and are favorites for this game as well.

Date and Time : 27th August 2017, 2:30 PM IST

Venue : Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Balagolla

Last game was a thriller and it took efforts from Bhuvneshwar Kumar and MS Dhoni to get India the win. So, Sri Lanka should take heart from that performance going ahead.

India have been performing with the ball well in the first two ODI’s and will look for a similar performance in this game. Whereas the islanders have found a trump card in Akila Dananjaya and he gives some significance to the already faltering Sri Lankan bowling.

Toss will again become crucial in this game as well as the captain who wins toss will elect to bowl first. Although if you are Team India it will not matter much as the team are winning every game.

Batting wise Sri Lanka have to improve a lot and post totals in access of 300 batting first to challenge this strong Indian batting. While Indian middle order is a problem and the islanders might want to exploit that.

Team news and possible line-ups

Upul Tharanga is suffering a two match suspension, while Danushka Gunathilaka is ruled out for 10 days due to a shoulder injury.

Sri Lanka has recalled Dinesh Chadimal and Lahiru Thirimanne in their places. Chamara Kapugedera will captain the side in Tharanga’s absence.

India remain unchanged for the 3rd ODI.

Sri Lanka XI : Kapugedera (C), Dickwella, Thirimanne, Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews, Chandimal, Siriwardana, Akila Dananajaya, Dushmantha Chameera, Vishwa Fernando, Malinga.

India XI : Kohli (C), Shikhar, Rohit, KL Rahul, Kedar Jadhav, Dhoni, Pandya, Axar, Bhuvneshwar, Chahal, Bumrah.

Prediction

I think SL will be boasted by their 2nd ODI performance. So, I think it will be a close game but India wins in the end.
