A place in the fourth round of the FA Cup is up for grabs as Manchester United host Wolves in the third round replay.

Kick-off : 7:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Old Trafford, Manchester

Manchester played a goalless draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this month to ensure a replay again.

The Red Devils were having a free midweek otherwise but now have to play in the FA Cup. They need to fare well this time if they are to progress.

The home advantage will count but disheartening defeat to Man City in the EFL Cup shows they are vulnerable at home. Although they won against Norwich in the premier league at the weekend in style.

Man United have a good record in the competition and have not been eliminated in the third round since 2013/14.

On the other hand, Wolves are though doing well in the premier league this season have slipped up a bit off late.

They have once eliminated United the FA Cup in their history and to do so again they need to get back to winning form.

Wolves have made it past the third round two times in last eight seasons, with suffering a loss in the semi’s to Watford in the 2018/19 edition.

Nuno Espirito’s side have a poor record at Old Trafford and haven’t won their in 40 years. So a lot of hard work required to progress.

Team news and possible lineups

Wolves will be without Diogo Jota and Willy Boly for this match.

As for United, Solskjaer is expected to make changes with one eye on Sunday’s daunting trip to face Liverpool at Anfield.

He need to strike better a combination of players which can perform against Wolves and get the job done.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial could be rested. Meaning a chance for Mason Greenwood to lead the attack.

Jesse Lingard, Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are all available. Ashley Young is a doubt.

While all of Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay, Axel Tuanzebe, Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo remain sidelined.

Wolverhampton Wanderers XI : Ruddy, Dendoncker, Coady, Kilman, Doherty, Saiss, Neves, Vinagre, Traore, Jimenez, Neto.

Manchester United XI : Romero, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Jones, Williams, Fred, Matic, Chong, Mata, Lingard, Greenwood.

Prediction

Man United will be on a high after success at the weekend while Wolves are out of form a bit, so backing United to win 2-1.
