Liverpool host Manchester United on Tuesday in the Premier League

Liverpool and Manchester United will lock horns on Tuesday in 2021/22 Premier League as the season moves ahead. Both teams will go for a win here.

Kick-off : 8:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Anfield, Liverpool

Liverpool are in fine form at present and with them now having booked a place in the final of the FA Cup defeating City in the semi-finals will be in a confident mood. They will look to play their brand of football.

The Reds are battling hard for a season win in the PL trailing table toppers Man City by a point. In this scenario a win at home to Man United will be crucial.

Manager Jurgen Klopp will use the tried & tested 4-3-3 formation for the fixture. They will look to defend as well as they have been doing while churning out goals.

On the other hand, Man United have a target of themselves to finish in the top four for Champions League spots. They will look to play quality football.

United are currently fifth in the points table with 54 points from 32 games. They won against Norwich City at the past weekend. But Man United have tough fixtures to come up with games against Arsenal & Chelsea scheduled after the Liverpool game.

Boss Ralf Rangnick will most likely use the 4-2-3-1 formation against Liverpool. United being the visitors must sit back and defend.

Team news and possible lineups

Liverpool have no fresh injury concerns at the moment.

As for Man United, Fred and Scott McTominay would both be unavailable.

Liverpool XI : Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Manchester United XI : De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles, Matic, Pogba, Elanga, Fernandes, Sancho, Ronaldo.

Prediction

Given the current run of form of Liverpool being superior to Man United’s, I expect a Liverpool win here. Maybe 2-1.
