Liverpool are set to play Maribor on Wednesday night in the Champions league as the season moves ahead. The Reds go into this game as the favorites.

Kick-off : 7:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Anfield, Liverpool

Liverpool will look for another big win over the Slovenian side as they seek to keep their Champions League hopes on track.

The Reds thrashed Maribor in the reverse fixture 7-0 and are now level on points with Spartak Moscow in Group D.

Spartak and Sevilla will face each other on Wednesday night as well and Liverpool will hope for a win to send them atop their group.

Liverpool and Maribor have faced each other only once, which was two weeks ago. Needless to say that The Reds won that solo fixture between the two sides.

But it should be a good game on Wednesday as both teams will give their all.

Team news and possible line-ups

Maribor manager Milanic will likely include Marcos Tavares for Wednesday’s game against Liverpool.

As for Liverpool, Philippe Coutinho remains a doubt for Wednesday’s match. While Loris Karius and Trent Alexander-Arnold are available and will likely be included against Maribor.

Dejan Lovren is also doubtful for Wednesday night’s fixture. Ragnar Klavan will likely play in his place.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is available and will likely be given a start in place of Daniel Sturridge, who will be rested.

Maribor XI : Handanovic, Rajcevic, Viler, Suler, Kabaa, Vrsic, Milec, Hotic, Pihler, Bobar, Tavares.

Liverpool XI : Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Klavan, J. Milner, Can, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Chamberlain, Salah, Firmino.

Prediction

It shouldn’t be a difficult task for Liverpool to get a win over Maribor on Wednesday night. The question is by how much they are going to win this time around. I think they will win 5-0.
