Team India will take on Bangladesh on Sunday in the first T20I of the three match series as Bangladesh look to create some history by playing in India. India go into this game as the favourites.

Date and Time : 3rd November 2019, 7:00 PM IST

Venue : Feroz Shah Kotla, New Delhi

The Indian team whitewashed an always dangerous South African team in the recently finished 3 test series. So they go in the Bangladesh series full of confidence.

They will though have to play proper cricket against the not so strong neighbours. Bangladesh can’t be taken lightly. They are a dangerous side on their day.

The first match is in New Delhi meaning a surface Indian team will be well familiar with. So the basics would be applied.

Team India would like to Bat well on the surface which generally tends to be on the slower side. Dew will also be one factor.

I think the coach will ask for a complete all round performance to start off with.

On the other hand, Bangladesh did play well in the recently concluded World Cup earlier in the year. They are an up and coming side.

Playing against India in India will help them develop rapidly. Although they will have an eye on the T20I series first up.

They will have a clear strategy in mind to bowl India out as cheaply as they can which will be a humongous task. Batting wise they will be tested.

I wish them luck to take on Team India in full flow in packed stadiums as they tour India for just the second time.

Team news and possible line-ups

Mahmudullah will captain Bangladesh in the T20I’s as Mushfiqur will keep.

As for India, Shivam Dube is available and might play.

Bangladesh XI : Mahmudullah (C), S. Sarkar, L. Das, M. Mithun, Rahim (WK), M. Hossain, A. Hossain, A. Hider, A. Sunny, S. Islam, M. Rahman.

India XI : R. Sharma (C), S. Dhawan, KL Rahul, S. Iyer, M. Pandey, Pant (WK), K. Pandya, Sundar, D. Chahar, Chahal, K. Ahmed.

Prediction

I expect India to win here taking a 1-0 lead in the series.
