India will take on The West Indies in the first ODI tomorrow in Chennai to start off the 3 match ODI series on this ongoing tour of the West Indies to India. Team India go into this game as the favourites.

Date and Time : 15th December 2019, 1:30 PM IST

Venue : MA Chidambram Stadium, Chennai

Team India have so far done their job in terms of overcoming The West Indies in their favourite format i.e T20I. Now it’s time for the ODI’s.

The Batsmen are in form which are always good signs. In the 3rd T20I even the bowlers joined the party. Fielding standards were their as well in the third game.

But we all know that ODI is a different format altogether and Team India will need to go back to their basics with which they have been playing ever so well.

The Chennai wicket is a good one and batsmen should be able to get their runs. Indian team will look to post a reasonable total which their bowlers will defend if batting first.

Bowling first India will look to bowl out The West Indies and get them for cheap to get an easy win. The tactics are simple but it can change according to match situation.

On the other hand, West Indies will be disappointed that they have lost the T20I series. But ODI series is a way to get back to winning ways.

West Indies have struggled in recent times in 50 over format and against India at their home Windies will find it extremely difficult.

The Caribbean team must look to bat out the 50 overs at all cost. While they have the resources when it comes to bowling.

The strategy will change according to the match progression. I wish them luck to execute game plan to perfection.
