France eye victory against Iceland in an international friendly

France vs Iceland
France will play Iceland in an international friendly on Thursday
France and Iceland are set to go head to head in an international friendly on Thursday as both teams give their players match practice. France go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 9:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Stade du Roudourou, Guingamp

France the reigning world champions will look to maintain their standard when they take on the Nordic country, Iceland. France will be playing their first match since the World Cup final in July, barring the UEFA Nations League matches.

Les Bleus will have to avoid complacency and play their best football when they take on an ever improving Iceland side. France will next play the South Americans Uruguay in an international friendly next month.

On the other hand, Iceland who made their World Cup debut’s in this year’s FIFA World Cup will hope to make further inroads on the world level. They will look it as a great opportunity to play world champions French national team.

Iceland will be looking for a positive result and hence a competitive match is expected. They will give their all and hope for the best.

France have a good record against Iceland and they will look to continue the good work.

Team news and possible line-ups

Aron Gunnarsson will not be available for Iceland for the midweek game as due to injury.

As for France, Tanguy Ndombele is available and might make his debut against Iceland.

Iceland XI : Halldorsson, Saevarsson, Arnason, Skulason, Ingason, Gislason, Traustason, Palsson, Finnbogason, Kjartansson, Porsteinsson.

France XI : Lloris, Pavard, Kimpembe, Varane, Sakho, Pogba, Matuidi, Nzonzi, Lemar, Dembele, Payet.

Prediction

I expect it to be a good game as both teams will give their all. But in the end I expect France to get the job done and get a win. They might win 1-0.
