FIFA World Cup 2022 – France vs Morocco, Semi-Final, match preview, predicted lineups

Fra vs Mar
In semi-final number 2 on Wednesday it sees France against Morocco in FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar

Defending champions France take on Morocco on Wednesday in FIFA World Cup 2022 Semi-Final 2 as the tournament nears it’s conclusion. France go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 10:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor

France were quiet good in their ousting of England in the quarters and they can expect to play successive finals. They will need to get over the Morocco challenge first up.

Les Bleus will aim to defend well and keep a clean sheet against an classic Moroccan outfit. While attack wise they hope to get the job done with their array of stars.

Coach Deschamps will go with a 4-2-3-1 on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Morocco themselves should be pleased with the way they have fared at this World Cup and another spirited performance could see their names in history right among the African elites.

The Atlas Lions have been resolute defensively given the way they didn’t allow teams to score and they will need that. Going forward they have been quite good and they need to be clinical.

Boss Walid Regragui will arrange them in a 4-3-3.

Team news and possible lineups

Walid Cheddira is suspended for Morocco for the France game and won’t play.

As for the French, Dayot Upamecano and Adrien Rabiot are both doubts.

France XI : Lloris, Kounde, Varane, Upamecano, T. Hernandez, Tchouameni, Rabiot, Dembele, Griezmann, Mbappe, Giroud.

Morocco XI : Bono, Hakimi, El Yamiq, Aguerd, Mazraoui, Ounahi, Amrabat, Amallah, Ziyech, En-Nesyri, Boufal.

Prediction

I think France will be extreme favourites for this one given their prowess but definitely Morocco will not make it easy. And I think it should be a job they will do Les Bleus to win it 3-1.
