Real Madrid will take on Club Brugge on Wednesday in 2019/20 UEFA Champions League as the tournament moves ahead. Los Blancos go into this game as the favourites.

Kick-off : 9:00 PM (Local)

Venue : Jan Breydel Stadium, Bruges

Real Madrid have not played the football they are known for in the group stages overall and that can be seen by their position in the group.

Los Blancos are currently second in their group after five matches with just 8 points. The goal difference is +4.

Though qualification to the last 16 is secured but they are not going to win the group. PSG have already won the group. Club Brugge should be tricky opponents.

With nothing to loose Club Brugge will definitely come all guns blazing. So Zinedine Zidane’s men will have to go carefully about their business in Belgium.

A tight defence will go a long way. A winning habit is what they should look for. Try and score as many as you can to get the match practice for some tougher games to come in the knockout phase.

On the other hand, Club Brugge have had a disappointing campaign as they find themselves out of contention for a place in the last 16. They play for pride in their last game of 2019/20 UEFA Champions League.

Club Brugge are third in the group after five matches with just 3 points in their kitty. The goal difference is -6.

Real Madrid at home must encourage them to play a good game. For the crowd they will have to be really on the top of their game.

To get something from the game will be a tough ask but they will have to go out their and give it their best shot.

Be organised well at the back plus be good attacking wise should help their cause. Their manager will have a role to play.

Team news and possible line-ups

Krepin Diatta and Clinton Mata will both be unavailable for the Real Madrid game as due to suspension.

As for Los Blancos, Eden Hazard is injured and hence will be unavailable.

Club Brugge XI : Mignolet, Kossounou, Mechele, Deli, Ricca, Alvarez, Rits, Vanaken, Schrijvers, Bonaventure, Okereke.

Real Madrid XI : Courtois, Militao, Varane, Ramos, Mendy, Casemiro, Valverde, Modric, Rodrygo, Benzema, Vinicius.

Prediction

I expect a Real Madrid win here. They will probably win by 2-1.
