In game no. 9 of BBL 2022-23 Adelaide Strikers play Sydney Thunder

Adelaide Strikers play Sydney Thunder on Tuesday in BBL 2022/23 as the tournament moves ahead. Adelaide Strikers come into this game as the favourites.

Date and Time : 20th December 2022, 7:15 PM (Local)

Venue : Adelaide Oval, Adelaide

Adelaide Strikers have been brilliant so far this tournament of the BBL and have registered comprehensive wins. They will look to keep the winning form ahead.

The Strikers batting have been quite better and they would like to be at par. Bowling wise they have done a job better then all teams this season especially getting the Thunders out for mere 15 runs.

Head coach Jason Gillespie will have his tactics laid out for the players to execute.

On the other hand, Sydney Thunder will be disappointed with their efforts after the first game to loose the next two. They will look to get things back on track.

The Thunder failed with the bat in the second game but otherwise have not been bad. Bowling wise their bowlers can do the job.

Their coach Trevor Bayliss will have to help out his players in these tough times.

For the wicket, it will be a balanced one with teams looking to chase.

Team news and possible lineups

Jason Sangha is out injured for the Sydney Thunder.

Adelaide Strikers Xi : Hose, T. Kelly, Lynn, Weatherald, C. de Grandhomme, M. Short, Nielson, W. Agar, R. Khan, Thornton, Siddle (C).

Sydney Thunder XI : O. Davies, Hales, Ross, Rossouw, Sams, Cutting, Gilkes, Doggett, C. Green (C), Farooqi, G. Sandhu.

Prediction

After the first tie was an one-sided affair I expect this one to be probably close. Despite this I feel Strikers have the home advantage and might be able to win it.
