Arsenal look for three points at home against Man City

Arsenal vs Man City
Arsenal will play Manchester City on Thursday in the Premier League
Arsenal and Man City are set to play each other once again on Thursday after the EFL Cup final at the weekend. Both teams will be looking for three points.

Kick-off : 7:45 PM (Local)

Venue : Emirates Stadium, London

Manchester City won the Football League Cup comprehensively against Arsenal on Sunday. It was Pep Guardiola’s first trophy in English football. Arsenal will now seek revenge when the two sides meet each other in midweek.

Arsenal are currently sixth in the Premier League after 27 games with 45 points. They trail table toppers Manchester City by 27 points. Clearly they can’t win the league this season but will be hoping to finish in top four.

On the other hand, Manchester City are currently leading the points table and are first in the Premier League. They are 13 points clear of second placed Manchester United. City are well on their way of winning the league this season.

So far Arsenal and Manchester City have played each other 193 times. Out of that the Gunners have come out victorious on 96 occasions while City have won 52 games, 45 other games have been a draw.

Team news and possible line-ups

Raheem Sterling is doubtful for City ahead of the Arsenal clash. While Fabian Delph will not be available as due to suspension.

As for Arsenal, Nacho Monreal is doubtful for the Man City game. While Santi Cazorla remains sidelined.

Manchester City XI : Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Otamendi, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Silva, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Sane, Aguero.

Arsenal XI : Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Ramsey, Wilshere, Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Aubameyang.

Prediction

It should be a close game as both teams will give their all. But I think in the end the team which commits less mistakes should win it. I think the game will finish 2-2.
